Homing Work keeps identifying details out of the project description, routes requests only to matching businesses, and limits each project to no more than three businesses.
Before agreeing to work
Evaluate the person and the proposal—not just the introduction.
Providers are independent businesses. Customers remain responsible for deciding whether a provider, scope, written agreement, and price are appropriate.
Ask direct questions
Discuss experience with similar work, who will perform it, the schedule, and how changes are handled.
Review documents
Request and independently evaluate any license, insurance, permit, contract, warranty, or reference relevant to the project.
Keep a written record
Document the agreed scope, price, payment schedule, materials, change process, and completion expectations.
Pause when pressured
Do not proceed if someone pressures you to share sensitive information, bypass agreed safeguards, or make an unsafe payment.
Report marketplace concerns
Use the project or account controls when they are available.
Reports can cover inappropriate contact, suspected fraud or spam, misuse of contact information, abusive behavior, or a security concern. Homing Work records the report and related administrative action.
