Version: terms-2026-09-15. Effective September 15, 2026.
1. Agreement, operator, and eligibility
Homing Work LLC (Homing Work, we, us, or our) operates homingwork.com. These Terms govern use of our marketplace. You accept these Terms through the agreement presented when creating an account or submitting a project. A provider business also accepts the Provider Terms. The Privacy Policy explains our data practices, and the Refund/Credit Policy governs lead-access adjustments. Merely viewing this page does not create acceptance.
You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and authorized to act for any property owner or business you represent. Our launch service area consists of the Washington DC Metro ZIP codes shown as supported on the website. Availability depends on the project address and service category; submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance or a provider match.
Support and legal notices: Support@homingwork.com. Contracting entity: Homing Work LLC. Legal-notice mailing address: 7244 Vellex Ln, Annandale, VA 22003.
2. What the marketplace provides
Customers can create accounts and submit projects without paying Homing Work. Provider accounts and applications have no account fee or monthly subscription fee. Approved provider businesses may choose to buy access to a project’s customer contact information. Certain providers receive promotional lead unlocks under the Provider Terms.
Homing Work provides introductions and marketplace tools. We do not perform the home service, employ the provider, act as either party’s contracting agent, guarantee a provider’s work, or become a party to the customer-provider contract. Customers and providers independently agree on scope, price, scheduling, deposits, permits, warranties, cancellation terms, and payment for the actual work. Homing Work does not collect customer job payments or pay providers for their work.
Project summaries and estimated values are preliminary, nonbinding information, not quotes, inspections, engineering opinions, or promises of project value. Customers should obtain written quotes and check relevant licensing and insurance before hiring. Provider approval means marketplace admission only; it does not mean that every qualification has been independently verified or that the business is endorsed.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information and keep your contact details current. Protect your password, recovery links, and devices; tell us promptly if an account may be compromised. Do not share sign-in credentials or impersonate someone else. A single account may have customer and provider roles, with separate access to each portal. A provider’s authorized business users may use only the permissions assigned to them.
You are responsible for activity you authorize. We review reported unauthorized activity using the available records and applicable law rather than treating every use of a compromised account as automatically authorized. We may require reasonable identity or authority checks to protect accounts, projects, and billing.
4. Customer projects and contact permission
Submit a genuine project with accurate scope, location, timing, and contact information. You must own the property or have permission to request services there and to share any other person’s information. Do not upload identification documents, financial details, access codes, images of children, or other information that is unnecessary for evaluating the work.
When you choose to publish a project and give the separate contact permission, you ask Homing Work to show its reviewed scope, approximate location, and approved project photos to eligible matched providers and to disclose the project contact details to no more than three distinct provider businesses that unlock it. A promotional unlock counts toward the same three-business lifetime limit. The preview audience may be larger than three; the contact-disclosure limit is three.
Your name, email, phone number, full street address, original image metadata, and other direct identifiers are withheld from provider previews. Approved photos may be visible before purchase after review and removal or concealment of identifying details. Sanitization reduces exposure but cannot guarantee that a distinctive property is unrecognizable. You may submit a project without photos or ask us to remove a photo from future previews.
Contact permission covers reasonable communication about that project. It does not enroll you in unrelated marketing or authorize automated marketing calls or texts. You can stop further matching or withdraw contact permission through the available project controls or by emailing support. We will stop new disclosures promptly and tell already connected providers when you ask them to stop project outreach; information already received cannot be recalled.
We may request clarification, edit a summary without changing the underlying request, change its service classification, or decline or remove unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, duplicate, unsupported, or misleading submissions. Material changes after a provider unlocks a project must be disclosed to that provider and may qualify for a lead adjustment.
5. Project duration and updates
A published project remains available for new unlocks for up to 30 calendar days, unless it closes sooner, the customer withdraws permission, or three businesses have unlocked it. The project’s displayed closing time controls. Closing a listing prevents new introductions; it does not cancel a separate contract with a provider.
Tell us when the job is filled, canceled, or materially changed. If you still need help after the listing closes, request an extension or review of the existing project. An extension, refund, replacement request, or duplicate repost of the same underlying project does not reset its lifetime disclosure count. Additional scope that is genuinely a different project requires a new review and new contact permission.
6. Communications and safety
We use your account contact details for authentication, project status, provider applications, purchases, billing, security, and policy notices. Optional marketing requires a separate choice. You can manage available notification preferences or contact support; essential account and transaction notices may still be sent while you use the corresponding service.
Homing Work is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate utility or emergency service. Do not wait for a marketplace response. Report concerning marketplace behavior to Support@homingwork.com; do not include passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive records.
7. Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Homing Work a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, redact, review, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service you requested, handle support and disputes, and comply with law. We may allow our service providers to perform those functions under appropriate restrictions. This license does not authorize using your project photos in public advertising or training a general-purpose AI model.
The operating license ends when content is removed from active use, except for permitted retention, backup processing, completed disclosures, and records needed for legal obligations or disputes. Public promotional use requires separate permission. Homing Work’s branding, software, and original website content belong to us or our licensors; you may use the site for its intended purpose but may not copy or exploit those materials beyond that permission or applicable law.
To report infringement, email support with the material’s location, the right you believe is infringed, your contact details, and a factual explanation. We will review and may remove disputed content or seek more information. Do not submit a knowingly false complaint.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not submit fake projects or applications, impersonate others, coordinate duplicate business identities to obtain extra seats or coupons, or misrepresent qualifications.
- Do not scrape, harvest, resell, publicly disclose, or use customer information for unrelated marketing; do not bypass access controls, purchase limits, or account restrictions.
- Do not harass, threaten, discriminate unlawfully, upload malicious code, infringe intellectual property, or interfere with the service.
- Do not post fabricated reviews or demand that someone suppress an honest review. Reviews may be moderated for relevance, privacy, abuse, and authenticity, not merely because they are negative.
9. Suspension, closure, and service changes
You may stop using the service and request account closure by emailing support from the account email, subject to reasonable verification. Closure stops new marketplace activity and does not erase valid charges already incurred or change independent customer-provider contracts. Deletion and record retention follow the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict activity reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, customer-data misuse, nonpayment, unlawful conduct, or material breaches. When safe and lawful, we will state the reason and a way to appeal. For remediable issues that do not require immediate action, we ordinarily allow seven calendar days to respond. Email support to appeal within 30 days; we aim to review the appeal within ten business days.
We may change or discontinue features prospectively. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect active users unless urgent legal or security circumstances require faster action. We will not impose retroactive lead prices or convert a free promotional unlock into a paid purchase.
10. Warranties and allocation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the marketplace is provided as available without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular number of leads, a response from a customer, successful hiring, or the accuracy of information supplied by another user. These statements do not excuse our express commitments, fraud, or obligations that law does not allow us to disclaim.
Each party remains responsible for its own conduct. Customers do not agree to a blanket indemnity for Homing Work. A provider’s limited obligations concerning third-party claims are set out in the Provider Terms.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither Homing Work nor a user is liable to the other under this agreement for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost expected profits or business opportunities, that arise from ordinary service failures. For ordinary contract or negligence claims concerning the marketplace, Homing Work’s total liability to a user is limited to the greater of $1,000 or the lead-access fees that user paid Homing Work during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, a party’s violation of confidentiality or data-protection duties, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Approved refunds, amounts mistakenly charged, valid payment obligations, and statutory remedies are not reduced by the cap. Nothing here limits a customer’s rights against the business that performs the work.
12. Governing law and disputes
Virginia law governs this agreement, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory protections of another applicable jurisdiction remain available. A dispute may be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Virginia; a consumer may also use a court or small-claims forum available under mandatory law where the consumer lives. This agreement does not require arbitration, waive class proceedings, or shorten statutory filing deadlines.
We encourage contacting support with a brief explanation and requested resolution so the parties can try to resolve a dispute within 30 days. This is voluntary and does not prevent a timely court filing, an urgent injunction, a payment dispute, or a report to a regulator.
13. Updates and remaining provisions
We will give at least 30 days’ notice of material changes through the account and the email address on file, unless a legal or urgent security requirement requires earlier action. New fees, materially expanded data uses, and material changes to provider obligations require the acceptance or separate consent appropriate to that change before they apply. Revisions do not change completed purchases, existing refund rights, or previously issued coupon entitlements retroactively.
The Provider Terms control provider-specific matters, and the Refund/Credit Policy controls lead remedies. A specific purchase confirmation controls its disclosed price and promotion. The Privacy Policy governs personal-data practices and is not a waiver of privacy rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision once does not waive it. We may transfer the agreement with the business to a successor that assumes our obligations, subject to applicable notice and privacy requirements.
